Meaning / Translation
In the name of Allah, who is Most Compassionate and Most Merciful
The Prophet believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and the believers (believed) too. Each of them believed in Allah, His angels, His books and His prophets, and they said: “We make no distinction between any of His prophets (and another).” They also said: “We have heard and we have obeyed. O our Lord! We ask You for forgiveness. In the end the return is to You alone.” Al-Baqarah 285
Allah holds a person responsible only for what is within that person’s power. The good a person earns is to their own benefit, and the evil to their own harm. (Pray by saying this): “O our Lord! Do not hold us accountable if we forget or err! O our Lord! Do not lay on us a heavy burden as You laid on those before us. O our Lord! Do not lay on us what we have no strength to bear! Pardon us, forgive us, have mercy on us! You are our Protector. Help us against the community of disbelievers.” Al-Baqarah 286
