Wuduand How to Perform It
1One gets ready for wudu.
For this, first the arms are bared above the elbows, the socks are taken off and the trouser legs are rolled up; then the intention is made by saying: 'I have made the intention, for the sake of Allah, to perform wudu', and the Eûzü Besmele is recited. That is, "Eûzü billâhi mineşşeytânirracîm, Bismillâhirrahmânirrahîm" is said.
2The hands are washed to the wrists three times.

Care is taken to wash between the fingers. If there is a ring on a finger, it is moved so that the skin beneath it is washed.
3The mouth and nose are washed.

For this, water is taken into the mouth with the right palm three separate times and rinsed thoroughly each time. Then, water is drawn into the nose with the right palm three separate times, and the nose is cleaned by blowing it with the left hand.
4The face is washed.

From the hairline on the forehead to the earlobes and under the chin, every part of the face is washed three times.
5The arms are washed.

First the right arm is washed three times together with the elbows. While washing, every part of the arm is rubbed well so that no dry spot remains. Then the left arm is washed three times together with the elbows. While washing, every part of the arm is rubbed well so that no dry spot remains. If the tap is opened only a little, there is no waste.
6The head is wiped.

After the right hand is wetted with fresh water, the palm and fingers are placed on the head and it is wiped once. With the hands wetted, the inside of the right ear is wiped with the index or little finger of the right hand and the outside of the ear with the thumb; the inside of the left ear is wiped with the index or little finger of the left hand and the back of the ear with the thumb. The back of the neck is wiped with the backs of the remaining three fingers.
7The feet are washed.

The right foot is washed three times together with the heels. Washing begins at the tips of the toes, and the spaces between the toes are thoroughly cleaned by khilal. Khilal is done by starting from the little toe of the right foot with the little finger of the left hand, inserting it between the other toes and cleaning them. The left foot is also washed three times together with the heels. Washing begins at the tips of the toes, and the spaces between the toes are thoroughly cleaned by khilal, as with the right foot.
During wudu, a person who does not know the duas of wudu recites the "Kelime-i şehâdet" while washing each limb.
If only the limbs of wudu, that is, the face, arms and feet, are washed and the head is wiped, wudu has also been performed by washing them once. For example, this may be done at times when very little time remains. However, if at normal times it is performed in accordance with the sunnah as described above, the reward of the sunnah is also earned. That is very good.
